J. Ray Truluck, Jr.
Upon graduation from The Citadel, Ray went directly into the management development program at Milliken. After spending four years in the production and operations side of manufacturing, Ray took the next step in his professional development by going into sales with Sun Chemical. He quickly rose to the top sales person when he won Salesperson of the Year, in spite of his relative youth and with only three years with the company. It was at this point that Ray decided that business ownership was the next logical step and bought a two year old PIP franchise on Laurens Road in Greenville South Carolina. Over the next 30+ years, Ray used sound business principles and the experiences gained early in his career to build a thriving, locally owned printing company that has withstood the industry shrinkage and the enormous evolutionary shifts that occurred in the printing industry over the last several years. He actually bought several printing companies during that time and brought them in under his PIP Printing umbrella. He changed the name to TruColor when his contract with PIP expired.
